How much does an energy audit cost?
Energy Modeling Audit – $200.00
A software-driven analysis of your home’s energy consumption, providing a foundational look at where energy is being used and lost. This audit leverages advanced modeling tools to assess energy efficiency, helping homeowners make data-informed decisions about potential improvements. It is ideal for those seeking quick insights without the need for on-site diagnostic testing.
The Energy Audit - $350.00
A hands-on evaluation of your home’s energy performance, including a detailed inspection of insulation, air leakage, and HVAC efficiency. You'll receive a comprehensive report with targeted recommendations, helping you understand where upgrades can make the most impact.
A Comprehensive Energy Audit - $550.00
A deep-dive assessment designed for homeowners focused on maximizing energy efficiency and comfort, our Comprehensive Energy Audit begins with a thorough on-site evaluation, followed by in-depth home energy modeling to ensure every potential energy-saving measure is accurately identified and effectively implemented.
What’s Included in the Comprehensive Energy Audit?
-Everything From Our Energy Model and Energy Audit, Plus:
-Duct System Performance Testing – Evaluates duct leakage, airflow restrictions, and pressure imbalances to optimize HVAC efficiency and indoor comfort.
-Combustion Safety & Ventilation Assessment – Ensures proper airflow, prevents backdrafting risks, and improves indoor air quality for a safer, healthier home.
-Performance Report & Efficiency Roadmap – A detailed, data-driven plan outlining key findings, prioritized upgrades, projected savings, and a clear strategy for optimizing your home’s performance.
What is the process like?
1. Discovery Consultation (Telephone)
Every assessment begins with understanding the symptoms. In this first step, we discuss your home’s comfort concerns, energy costs, and any noticeable drafts or inefficiencies. This 15-minute call helps us gather crucial details, pinpoint potential problem areas, and schedule the next step in your home’s performance evaluation.
2. The Check-Up (On-site)
Before running tests, a thorough evaluation is essential—checking key components and looking for visible concerns. We begin with a detailed visual inspection of your home, assessing windows, doors, insulation, and HVAC systems. This step helps identify obvious inefficiencies and sets the stage for deeper diagnostic testing.
3. Testing for Disease (On-site)
Just like a stress test evaluates heart function under pressure, we put your home to the test using specialized diagnostic tools. A blower door test simulates real-world conditions, revealing unwanted air leakage, while infrared imaging pinpoints insulation deficiencies. These in-depth assessments provide a precise diagnosis of your home’s efficiency, ensuring we identify the root causes of energy loss and comfort issues.
4. Diagnosis & Prescription (Our Lab)
After a thorough inspection and diagnostic testing, we analyze the results to identify inefficiencies in your home’s performance. Just as test results inform the best course of action, we provide a detailed report outlining key findings along with a customized comfort plan. This includes prioritized recommendations, estimated costs, and projected energy savings—giving you a clear path toward a healthier, more efficient home.
5. Treatment Plan (Your home)
With a clear diagnosis in hand, the next step is applying the right solutions. Your home’s audit report and comfort proposal outline the most effective improvements, from sealing air leaks to upgrading insulation. While some adjustments can be made independently, precise implementation ensures the best results. When you're ready, we’re here to deliver expert-guided air sealing, insulation enhancements, and efficiency upgrades tailored to your home’s needs.

How Long Does A Home Energy Audit Take?
The duration of a home energy audit depends on the level of assessment being performed.
Energy Modeling Audit
Since this is a remote, software-based analysis, no on-site visit is required. Once we have the necessary details, the report is typically generated within 24 to 48 hours.
The Energy Audit
A standard hands-on audit typically takes 1.5 to 2.25 hours depending on the size of the home and the complexity of the evaluation.
Comprehensive Energy Audit
This in-depth assessment, can take between 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Larger homes or those with more complex efficiency issues may require additional time.
After the audit, a detailed report with findings and recommendations is typically provided within a week.
